The Origin of the Karankawa-
Though there are many speculations no one knows for sure where the Karankawa came from. Historians believe the descended from the Carib, an Indian group that traveled here by sea. Their reasoning for this is that they had the same appearances and physical characteristics, and practiced the same cultural rituals such as cannibalism.
Their home-
The Karankawa tribe were nomads so they never really had a single home, however they stayed in one general area. They lived on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico for its many resources. They had food and water which makes them very fortunate. Most tribes had a struggle to stay alive because they didn't have those things. True, the neighboring tribes could try and use their resources but they risked being killed and eaten. Back then, they treated our natural resources with more respect which explains how we didn't run out sooner.
